The social campaign "If He Beats You, He DOESN’T Love You!" to help victims of domestic violence has started in Moscow, reports the Kazinform agency's own correspondent.
In the ladies' rooms of more than 50 shopping centers throughout Moscow, special posters appeared with the inscription "If he beats you, it means he doesn't love you. Don't be silent" and a QR code that leads to the website of the state Crisis Center.
As reported by the press service of the Moscow mayor's office, the social campaign "If he beats you, it means he doesn't love you. Don't be silent" is intended to draw attention to the problem of domestic violence and to show that women can find support and help from the city.
- We are in a center for helping women and children who have found themselves in difficult life situations and are victims of violence. The center is the largest in the country. Over the 10 years of its existence, its employees have helped more than 2,500 women who found themselves victims of domestic violence. They are provided with comprehensive support – psychological, legal and, most importantly, social. They receive temporary housing, are helped with studies, finding work and solving many everyday problems, - said Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development Anastasia Rakova.
The Crisis Center was created in 2014 to help women and children – it is the only state center in Moscow that provides temporary shelter and support to women and children who have suffered from domestic violence. Comprehensive social assistance is provided by psychologists, lawyers and other specialists.
The center's priority is the prevention of domestic violence. Much attention is paid to classes for parents with children. In addition, the center works with men who are ready to change and want to save their families. During the classes of the support group "What Men Keep Silent About," specialists help reduce anxiety and aggression, and motivate people to abandon violence in relationships.
