According to Vice Minister of Education Yedil Ospan, the Ministry, together with stakeholder government agencies, is developing and implementing several road maps and plans.
In particular, they plan to supplement educational programs with topics on protecting children from habits harmful to their health and development:
• the topic of the harm of smoking and drugs for human development is included in the content of the subject “Biology” (grades 7-9);
• lectures on the topic of a healthy lifestyle are included in the content of the subjects “World Studies” (grades 1-4) and “Natural Science” (grades 1-6).
“Awareness raising work among students will be carried out with the participation of police officers and medical workers. We have involved 90 thousand specialists, more than 8 thousand educational psychologists and 4 thousand social educators in this work,” said Ospan.
